概況縱覽

香港公開大學由香港政府于一九八九年成立。根據(jù)提供全民教育的使命，公開大學開始作為成人教育的提供者。自2001年以來，大學通過提供本科和研究生水平的全日制面授學位課程來擴展其服務(wù)。
我們的全日制課程主要由大學的全職學者教授，他們大多數(shù)擁有博士學位，積極參與研究和出版，以及擁有多年的教學經(jīng)驗。我們所有的項目都經(jīng)過嚴格的質(zhì)量保證機制。公開大學的課程項目是以信用為基礎(chǔ)的系統(tǒng)運作，為個別課程取得學分。
目前，公開大學月有8000名全日制學生以及12000名非全日制學生。為配合大學的持續(xù)發(fā)展，公開大學在何文田中心街設(shè)立了銀禧學院。銀禧學院增加了2400個全日制課程。

The Open University of Hong Kong (OUHK) was established by the Hong Kong Government in 1989. With the mission of providing Education for All, the OUHK started out as a provider of adult education. Since 2001, the University extended its services by offering full-time face-to-face degree programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Our full-time programmes are primarily taught by the University’s full-time academics, most of whom hold doctoral degrees and are active in research and publishing, as well as having many years of teaching experience. All of our programmes go through stringent quality assurance mechanisms. The OUHK’s programmes are run in a credit-based system, in which credits are gained for individual courses taken.
Currently, there are around 8,000 full-time students and 12,000 part-time students at the OUHK. To cope with the continued growth of the University, the OUHK has established the Jubilee College on Chung Hau Street, Ho Man Tin. The Jubilee College offers an addition of 2,400 places for full-time programmes.
